The value of telecoms services in the UK (2023)

We provided an update of a previously successful report on the continued value for money UK consumers continue to receive from fixed and mobile services given the increased usage and the investment in networks their providers have been making. To put this in context we compared telecoms to other regulated industries (such as energy and water), where bills continue to rise but where there has been no increase in the quality of the service provided.

Creating the conditions for scaled connectivity challengers

We produced an independent analysis of the economic, societal and competition benefits gained from having more than one scaled gigabit-capable fixed network (based on any technology), and the environment and conditions needed for scaled network competition to occur. We benchmarked the UK against five other European countries (Denmark, France, Germany, Portugal, Spain).

The value of telecoms services in the UK (2022)

We produced a concise analysis of the relative value consumers get from telecoms services in the UK. The exercise required benchmarking the UK against a set of six other comparator countries across fixed and mobile services. The research was complemented with an analysis of additional measures the industry has taken to support consumers during the cost of living crisis.

The value delivered by the European telecoms sector

The value delivered by the European telecoms sector

A study for a trade association to demonstrate the value delivered by the telecoms sector, in particular to consumers. It required a thorough assessment of products and services offered to consumers as well as marketing and sales practices. The report was launched at an event in Brussels with a panel which included representatives from the European Commission.
