The Italian Ministry for Economic Development (MISE) has published the list of operators admitted to the first stage of the spectrum auction scheduled for September in the 700MHz, 3.6–3.8GHz, and 26.5–27.5GHz bands. Fastweb, Iliad, Linkem, Open Fiber, Telecom Italia, Vodafone, and Wind 3 have been admitted to participate. In particular, the document released by MISE highlights that Iliad will be the sole operator bidding for the reserved block in the 700MHz band, thereby taking advantage of the reservation for a new entrant. Operators will have to submit their bids by 10 September 2018.
